About Dr. Jami Cline

Personal & Convenient Mental Health Care

  •   I have been a board certified Family Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner in the state of Arizona since graduating from ASU with my Doctorate in Nursing Practice in 2016. I began my nursing career as an RN in acute care and psychiatric hospitals in 1996. I worked as a Nursing Supervisor/Admin Rep of a Level I Trauma Center in the years before I became a Psychiatric NP. I have cared for patients ages 6 years and up with a wide variety of psychiatric diagnoses over the past five years in community mental health.
  • I was born and raised in Wyoming, and am sensitive and aligned with rural lifestyle and values.
  • I particularly enjoy providing convenient, private care for nurses, doctors, therapists, law enforcement and first responders who may be uncomfortable receiving traditional services.
  • I enjoy helping my clients find an accurate mental health diagnosis, identifying the root causes, and exploring treatments to improve their quality of life.  I particularly enjoy forming a strong therapeutic relationship with my patients, helping them through the challenges and transitions in their lives.

My approach to improving mental health includes:

  • A person-centered approach with respect, compassion, empathy and positive regard for my clients
  • Evidence based medication prescribing based on current science and years of experience
  •  An enlightened attitude towards supplements, non-traditional health practices, spirituality and positive energy
  • A lifelong desire to be of service to others, and a willingness to meet and accept others where they are without judgement
  • Brief solutions focused therapy, motivational interviewing

A Nurse Caring for Nurses

  • I graduated from Western Wyoming Community College and became an RN in 1996.  I began my nursing career in long term care, and then became a Med/Surg/Oncology nurse in a at St. Mark's Hospital in Salt Lake City, Utah.  I worked as a Cardiac Stepdown/PCU nurse at St. Mark's, and then worked as a travel nurse throughout the US for several years.    I stopped traveling to become a staff nurse and a nurse recruiter at PeaceHealth Sacred Heart Medical Center in Eugene, OR and then moved to Arizona.  Prior to becoming a Psychiatric NP, I worked as a staff nurse, charge nurse, float pool supervisor and admin rep/house supervisor at HonorHealth Scottsdale Osborn Medical Center.

  • After 20-plus years working as a nurse in many different settings, I am acutely aware of the unique pressures and stress that nurses, physicians and other healthcare professionals experience.  I am passionate about providing discreet, private mental health care and support for nurses, physicians, licensed healthcare professionals and first responders.  Compassion fatigue, burn out, secondary trauma, substance abuse and suicide are all too common in our profession and I am dedicated to providing the support and care that nurses, doctors and healthcare providers deserve.
